Dire boredom of work

Utterly utterly bored with work at the mo. About 90-95% of the work I’m doing at present involves problems with our systems preventing us from fixing the customer’s Internet. I don’t mind fixing probs, but when they are ALL OUR FAULT PLUS YOU CAN’T FIX ANY OF THEM you start to lose faith in the business a bit.

I mean Darth Vader had the same problems as us; first of all sets up with a good sales pitch offering a service to the public (or republic in this case), so did this ISP. The Empire’s rivals took out the main base of operation and left the Empire reeling. With our ISP, something similar did actually happen which resulted in our headquarters being relocated and downsized. The Empire came bouncing back with a newer base and started throwing their product about. So did our ISP, offering quicker internet to everyone and anything that had a heartbeat in the UK. Then they outsourced their systems to Endor, like we did to India. That was an accident waiting to happen. And now after trying to mixa large amount of systems together nothing currently works and we’ve got the equivalent of the Death Star blowing up virtually for us. I’ve only been able to fix one person’s issue this evening out of about 10 calls. I’m not expecting to fix any more.

Plus our boss of this department jumped ship today, just like Darth did at the last minute. I’m expecting the building to blow up in a blaze of glory this evening.
